During the Obon holiday period, heavy crowds are expected not only at Nijigen no Mori, but throughout Awaji Island. Depending on the day of your visit, Nijigen no Mori is expected to be extremely busy, and all nearby parking lots may become fully occupied. When visiting, we strongly recommend allowing plenty of extra time for your journey or using public transportation, such as highway buses. Thank you for your continued use of Nijigen no Mori. We typically receive a large number of customers during the Obon period. Depending on the day and time of your visit, all nearby parking lots may be full. If the main parking lots (Awaji Island Prefectural Park F and E parking lots) are full when you arrive by car, please use Awaji Island Prefectural Park A parking lot ( free for the first 3 hours, 550 yen per day thereafter ) or Awaji Highway Oasis . Every year during the Obon period, not only Nijigen no Mori but also many other locations throughout Hyogo Prefecture are expected to be extremely crowded. Traffic congestion is also likely in many places, so please allow plenty of time and take care when traveling.
