What is Godzilla Interception Operation?

“Godzilla Interception Operation” is the world’s only entertainment attraction centered on the world’s largest, life-size Godzilla that has landed on Awaji Island, allowing visitors to fully experience Godzilla’s immense power and sheer force.Participants become members of the National Godzilla Awaji Island Research Center. After receiving a briefing on “Operation: Godzilla Interception”—the mission to combat Godzilla, who has appeared on Awaji Island—through attraction footage produced by Toho that rivals the quality of their films, they take on the “Zip Line” and “Anti-Godzilla Cell Shooting” attractions. At the adjacent “Godzilla Museum”—the world’s first permanent Godzilla museum—impressive dioramas and other exhibits are on display, created in collaboration with Toho Visual Arts Co., Ltd., the company responsible for the special effects and set design in Godzilla films, making it feel as though scenes from the movies are right before your eyes.
