What is “GRAND CHARIOT Big Dipper 135°”?

This glamping facility, which opened on May 16, 2018 within the anime park “Nijigen no Mori,” serves cuisine made with ingredients from Awaji Island. It offers activities that allow you to experience the changing nature of Awaji Island with all five senses, and at night, you can enjoy a unique location where you can see the glittering cityscape of Kobe on the opposite shore and the star-filled skyline of Awaji Island. The food, one of the highlights of the trip, is supervised by Chef Haruyuki Yamashita, Hyogo Prefecture’s Food Advisor, and offers creative cuisine made with carefully selected ingredients from Awaji Island that can only be enjoyed here. In October 2018, “My Cocoon” opened, where you can enjoy the world of Crayon Shin-chan. In November 2018, “Hello Kitty Star Cocoon” opened, themed around the hugely popular character Hello Kitty, who continues to be loved in approximately 130 countries around the world. In May 2020, “Hokage’s Villa” opened, themed around the hugely popular ninja anime “NARUTO.”

Meals

Under the supervision of Chef Haruyuki Yamashita, Hyogo Prefecture’s Food Advisor, the restaurant serves dishes made with ingredients from the island.

Dinner

In addition to the Setouchi Awaji “Hiruami” red sea bream, which uses locally caught seafood, the main course is “Awaji Beef Mountain and Sea Tomato Sukiyaki” which uses Awaji beef, seafood, and onions from Awaji Island.

Breakfast

The highlight of your stay is breakfast, which can be chosen from either a Japanese breakfast set or a Western plate, one per group.

●<Japanese cuisine> Starting with Grand Chariot’s “Morning Set,” we will serve grilled fish from the Seto Inland Sea and our specialty “Awaji rolled omelet” along with freshly cooked Awaji Island rice.

●＜Western Food Plate＞Enjoy four types of Awaji Island produce on the main plate. This breakfast is made with carefully selected ingredients and homemade preparations, including loin ham made with homemade Awaji Island pork, scrambled eggs made with Awaji Island eggs, and homemade tomato ketchup with plenty of onions.
