Head to Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island after an event in Tokushima Prefecture! We'll introduce you to the recommended route starting from Tokushima Station!

From Tokushima to Nijigen no Mori!
Public transportation access explanation!

Have you ever thought, "I'd like to go to Nijigen no Mori, but I don't know how to get to Awaji Island..."?

Awaji Island is an island located between Hyogo Prefecture and Shikoku, and is connected to Kobe City and Tokushima Prefecture by bridges. Therefore, the most convenient public transportation is the express bus.

Today we will introduce a recommended route from Tokushima to Nijigen no Mori!

① Via "Maiko Expressway"

There are no direct buses from Tokushima to Nijigen no Mori, so we recommend transferring at the "Express Maiko" bus, which has many buses!

Acitivity Time

Between Tokushima Station and Maiko Expressway:About 1 hour and 30 minutes!

The recommended bus routes are the jointly operated "Awa Express" or Tokushima Bus's "Tokushima-Kobe Line"! Either route runs roughly once every 30 minutes!

Between "Maiko Expressway" and "Nijigen no Mori (Awajishima Prefectural Park F Parking Lot)":About 15 minutes!

We recommend the jointly operated "Kita Awaji West Coast Line" or "Kakehashi Nijigen no Mori" bus routes! The "Kita Awaji West Coast Line" stops in the western area, while the "Kakehashi Nijigen no Mori" bus stops in the eastern area!

② Via Sumoto Bus Center

There aren't many buses on this route, but there is also a route that goes via Sumoto City in the center of Awaji Island! By the way, if you walk for 2-3 minutes from Sumoto Bus Center, you will find the Dragon Quest Monument, so if you are a Dragon Quest fan, this route might be more convenient for you!

Acitivity Time

Between Tokushima Station and Sumoto Bus Center:About 1 hour and 30 minutes!

This route is operated by Awaji Transportation, and is the only one between Awaji and Tokushima, so you won't get lost! There are four trains per day on weekdays and three on weekends!

Between "Sumoto Bus Center" and "Nijigen no Mori (Awaji Highway Oasis)":About 55 minutes!

This is also easy as there is only one route, the "Kakehashi Nijigen no Mori"! The "Kakehashi Nijigen no Mori" stops at bus stops in the east area!

Pay attention to the nearest bus stop!

If you are participating in the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" collaboration event, please visit the East Area.
For other attractions, the bus stops in the west area are convenient!

West area: Bus stop name: "Prefectural Awajishima Park (Nijigen no Mori F Parking Lot)"

Since 2008, Pasona Group has collaborated with local governments and local stakeholders on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, and has been working on its own regional revitalization project by attracting various human resources. In 2013, the "Awaji Manga/Anime Island Project" was adopted as part of the "Private Business Planning and Proposal for Prefectural Awajishima Park" publicly invited by Hyogo Prefecture. Together with Hyogo Prefecture, we are promoting regional revitalization projects by attracting tourists.
