Dragon Quest Island, a hugely popular attraction at Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park Anime Park “Nijigen no Mori,” is an experiential attraction that recreates the world of the game “Dragon Quest”!

You might think Awaji Island is far away, but there is actually a direct bus that runs from central Kobe! The ride takes about 40 minutes, there are no transfers, and as long as you’re sitting down, the bus will take you there automatically, so it’s very convenient!

Today, for all the adventurers who are interested in “Dragon Quest Island,” we will introduce you to the largest shopping district in Kobe, ” Sannomiya (one subway stop from Shin-Kobe) .”We will introduce you to the most efficient half-day model itinerary for departure and arrival!

09:15 From JR Sannomiya Station East Exit to Shinki Bus Terminal
The meeting point is JR Sannomiya Station , the terminal of the Sannomiya area! It’s just one subway stop from Shin-Kobe!
From there, walk to the Shinki Bus Kobe Sannomiya Terminal !

09:45 Board the Kita-Awaji West Coast Line (towards Awaji Island)
Take the Kita-Awaji West Coast Line express bus, jointly operated by Shinki Bus and Honshi-Kaikyo Bus! This takes just 40 minutes directly to Nijigen no Mori, the anime park where Dragon Quest Island is located!

10:28 Get off at Awajishima Prefectural Park (Nijigen no Mori F Parking Lot)
Get off at the bus stop “Awajishima Prefectural Park (Nijigen no Mori F Parking Lot)”! After getting off, go to the right and you will find the gate to the park!
10:30 Arrive at Dragon Quest Island!

Welcome to Onokogard! If you enter the park and go straight, you will see the giant slime and Onokogard Castle in just a minute or two! First, take a snap! Once you pass through the castle gates, the adventure begins!
10:40 Embark on an adventure to save the world!
Take on the “Main Quest” to save the world from the Demon King Zoma, and the “Challenge from Kandata (side quest)” to enjoy the world of Dragon Quest even more! Combine the two for an epic adventure that takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours to complete!


14:00 Enjoy the collaboration menu at “Luiida’s Tavern”!
After your adventure, head to Luidae’s Tavern, a restaurant located next to Onokogard Castle! Enjoy the world of Dragon Quest with a limited collaboration menu!
*During the day, you can leave “Dragon Quest Island” at any time, so you can take a lunch break during your adventure! (There is a limit to the final entry time after the evening.)

15:00 Check out the merchandise at the shop attached to the restaurant!
After enjoying the collaboration food, you can enjoy purchasing some merchandise! We have a wide selection of limited edition goods that can only be purchased at “Dragon Quest Island”!

15:45 Finally, try your luck at the Lottery Special!
Once you’ve purchased the original goods, it’s time for one last test of luck! Draw a “Lottery Special” ticket exclusive to Nijigen no Mori at the “Lottery” in front of Onokogard Castle! You might win a large onion slime plush toy!

16:30 Board the Kita-Awaji West Coast Line (towards Kobe) and head home
Let’s get on the return bus from the same bus stop we got off at on the way there (Awajishima Prefectural Park (Nijigen no Mori F Parking Lot)) ! The return trip is also about a 40-minute bus ride on the Kita Awaji West Coast Line !
*After 16:30, there are two direct buses to Sannomiya, departing at 17:30 and 18:40. For buses at other times, you can get off at “Kosoku Maiko (JR Maiko Station)” and transfer to JR trains to get to Kobe. Click here for the timetable.
17:14 Arrived at Sannomiya! Thank you for your hard work!
The last stop is the Sannomiya bus terminal, so you don’t have to worry about oversleeping! You can then take the Shinkansen or go back to your hotel or home and relax!
*Congestion is common in Kobe city in the mornings and evenings, so arrival times may be delayed. We recommend allowing some extra time for connections to Shinkansen trains, etc.

This field RPG attraction blends the real and digital worlds to bring the world of Dragon Quest to life. Participants can become the protagonist of an original story and immerse themselves in the world of Dragon Quest through their adventure. To celebrate the release of the HD-2D version of Dragon Quest III: And Into the Legend…, Dragon Quest Island: The Demon Lord Zoma and the Island of Beginnings, which was a huge hit when it first opened in 2021, will be re-released on Saturday, October 5, 2024! Embark on a new adventure in Dragon Quest Island, which is based on the worldview of the Roto series and features enhanced side quests, original goods, and original food!

Stay in the Dragon Quest collaboration room “Slime Cocoon”!

Overview of Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park Anime Park “Nijigen no Mori”
Since 2008, the Pasona Group has been collaborating with local governments and local stakeholders on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, working on a unique regional revitalization project by attracting a diverse range of talent.
