At the National Godzilla Awaji Island Research Center in Nijigen no Mori, you can recreate scenes from the movie yourself.Did you know there is a special effects studio here?

The exhibition, which allows visitors to experience the history of monster movies firsthand, is a special space that will resonate with monster and special effects enthusiasts.

 A movie-like special effects experience

To the Awaji Island Special Effects Studio!

At the end of the museum,"SFX Studio" where you can experience special effects just like in the movies.
The diorama and Godzilla suit used in the actual Godzilla movies are installed here, allowing visitors to experience the feeling of stepping into a scene from the movie.

The Godzilla in the studio is the same suit used in the filming of "Godzilla: Final Wars." This film, released in 2004, was the culmination of the series' 50th anniversary and featured a total of 15 monsters. You can take part in filming with the actual Godzilla suit (Final Wars version).A dreamlike experienceis waiting!


 Enjoy with family and friends

This is an experiential exhibition that allows you to become a film director and take commemorative photos with the clapperboard and studio set, making it a fun experience for both family and friends!

If you are coming to "Godzilla Intercept Operation", the following methods are convenient!

[By car]

The nearest parking lot (free parking) is "Awajishima Prefectural Park F Parking Lot"! If you park here and walk straight along the main street in the park, you will see the grey tent of the National Godzilla Awajishima Research Center (attraction reception) in less than 5 minutes!

[By public transport]

If you are coming by bus, please use the route "Kita Awaji West Coast Line" is recommended! If you get off at the bus stop "Awajishima Prefectural Park (Nijigen no Mori F Parking Lot)," you can arrive at the reception desk in about 5 minutes by walking straight down the main street, just like if you came by car!

What is the Godzilla interception operation?

"Godzilla Intercept Operation" is themed on the world's largest life-sized Godzilla that landed on Awaji Island, and is the only entertainment attraction in the world where you can fully experience Godzilla's power and force. Participants become members of the National Godzilla Awajishima Research Center, and after receiving an explanation of the "Godzilla Intercept Operation" that unfolds against Godzilla that appeared on Awaji Island through a movie-like attraction video produced by Toho, they will challenge the "Zip Line" and "Anti-Godzilla Cell Shooting" attractions. The adjacent "Godzilla Museum," the world's first permanent museum, exhibits spectacular dioramas that make you feel like you are experiencing scenes from the movie right in front of you, with the cooperation of Toho Eizo Bijutsu Co., Ltd., which has been responsible for the special effects art of Godzilla movies.

Accommodation “GRAND CHARIOT Big Dipper 135°” collaboration room
Let's stay at "Monster Land"!

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of "Godzilla," we will open "Monster Land," a Godzilla collaboration room where monsters that have appeared in past "Godzilla" movies gather together, on Friday, December 12st.
The main room features interior decorations and tapestries depicting past Godzillas and popular monsters, a portion of a full-sized Godzilla that can be seen through the window, and special processing that changes the way it looks when illuminated with light. This room allows you to enjoy a different interior atmosphere at night.
You can also enjoy limited novelties that can only be obtained here, such as acrylic blocks decorated with posters of past Godzilla movies.

Overview of Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park Anime Park “Nijigen no Mori”

Since 2008, Pasona Group has collaborated with local governments and local stakeholders on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, and has been working on its own regional revitalization project by attracting various human resources. In 2013, the "Awaji Manga/Anime Island Project" was adopted as part of the "Private Business Planning and Proposal for Prefectural Awajishima Park" publicly invited by Hyogo Prefecture. Together with Hyogo Prefecture, we are promoting regional revitalization projects by attracting tourists.
