A special Mothra exhibition will be held at the Godzilla Museum on Awaji Island starting this weekend!

The legend is reborn!

To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the opening of Nijigen no Mori's hugely popular attraction, "Operation Godzilla Interceptor," the Godzilla Museum will be holding a "Mothra Special Exhibition" for a limited time only this weekend from Saturday, December 20, 2025 to Sunday, September 13, 2026!

"Mothra" is a monster that is particularly popular among the Godzilla series, with three films released in the "Heisei Mothra Series" from 1996 to 1998. This special exhibition is dedicated to the Heisei Mothra series, and you can enjoy the display of various "Mothra" works.

This special exhibition, with the cooperation of Toho Eizo Bijutsu, will also feature a special display of props used in the filming of "Mothra Leo" and its larvae, which appear in the "Heisei Mothra Series." This is a must-see exhibition for fans! In addition, there are plenty of exhibits, such as a Mothra egg and a giant 4m panel, that allow you to experience the heroic figure of "Mothra" as she fights to protect people and the Earth as a guardian deity!

Collaboration goods information

To commemorate the opening of the "Mothra Special Exhibition," limited-edition original Mothra goods that can only be purchased here will go on sale from Saturday, December 20, 2025! A total of seven items will be available, including pins and dolomite coasters with the exhibition's original logo, as well as badges and stickers!

Collaboration Food Information

To commemorate the "Mothra Special Exhibition," two new collaborative foods will be available from December 20, 2025! "Mothra Leo White Curry" is inspired by Mothra Leo, and "Mothra Larva Chocolate Ice Cream" is a cute representation of Mothra's larva made with corn and chocolate ice cream!
After enjoying the world of Godzilla in "Operation Godzilla," the whole family can enjoy some impressive "monster food"!

What is the Godzilla interception operation?

"Godzilla Intercept Operation" is themed on the world's largest life-sized Godzilla that landed on Awaji Island, and is the only entertainment attraction in the world where you can fully experience Godzilla's power and force. Participants become members of the National Godzilla Awajishima Research Center, and after receiving an explanation of the "Godzilla Intercept Operation" that unfolds against Godzilla that appeared on Awaji Island through a movie-like attraction video produced by Toho, they will challenge the "Zip Line" and "Anti-Godzilla Cell Shooting" attractions. The adjacent "Godzilla Museum," the world's first permanent museum, exhibits spectacular dioramas that make you feel like you are experiencing scenes from the movie right in front of you, with the cooperation of Toho Eizo Bijutsu Co., Ltd., which has been responsible for the special effects art of Godzilla movies.

Accommodation “GRAND CHARIOT Big Dipper 135°” collaboration room
Let's stay at "Monster Land"!

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of "Godzilla," we will open "Monster Land," a Godzilla collaboration room where monsters that have appeared in past "Godzilla" movies gather together, on Friday, December 12st.
The main room features interior decorations and tapestries depicting past Godzillas and popular monsters, a portion of a full-sized Godzilla that can be seen through the window, and special processing that changes the way it looks when illuminated with light. This room allows you to enjoy a different interior atmosphere at night.
You can also enjoy limited novelties that can only be obtained here, such as acrylic blocks decorated with posters of past Godzilla movies.
