[Nijigen no Mori x Anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Collaboration Event No. 3] Is it cold at night? Are there a lot of bugs? Three essential pieces of equipment to enjoy a comfortable night walk

A highly anticipated evening event will be held from Saturday, March 3th! We will introduce three points to enjoy comfortably at the "Night Walk: The Path to the Mugen Castle" event, a collaboration between Nijigen no Mori and the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"!
① Cold weather gear: We recommend layering your clothes so that you can adjust the number of layers you wear.
Nijigen no Mori is located at a slightly higher altitude. For every 100m increase in altitude, the temperature drops by about 0.6℃, so it can be about 1℃ lower than in the city. Also, the temperature drops sharply in the forest after sunset, so be sure to prepare some cold weather gear.

■ Be mindful of layering when dressing
When climbing mountains, you adjust your clothing to suit changes in weather, temperature, and body temperature. This is called "layering," and is an important technique for preventing cold sweat in the mountains.
The Nijigen no Mori night walk is not mountain climbing, but it is about a 1.2km walk through the forest. There are uphill sections and steep stairs, so you may sweat. In the forest, take off your clothes when you get hot, put them on when you get cold, and take care to regulate your body temperature as much as possible to prevent catching a cold from sweat.
On the day of the event, rather than just wearing one thick outerwear, it is recommended that you prepare for the cold with multiple items, such as a thin jacket and another outerwear.
■ Cotton100Be careful with 100% innerwear as it can make you cold from sweat
Cotton is difficult to dry once it absorbs sweat, and it will remain wet for a long time. It may be fine during the event, but it may cause you to feel cold after the finish or when you return home. When it comes to innerwear for night walks, it is best to avoid 100% cotton and choose sweat-absorbent and quick-drying materials.
② Insect repellent: To protect yourself from insects, limit exposed skin.
The venue for "Night Walk: Trails to the Infinite Castle" is in the forest, so insect repellent measures are necessary. Mosquitoes are most active when the temperature is around 25°C, and from the evening onwards.
As the weather gets warmer, it's a good idea to have insect repellent products such as insect repellent spray and anti-itch medication. Also, wearing clothes that cover exposed skin will help prevent insects and protect you from the cold.
3. A large bag that leaves your hands free: Don't miss any photo opportunities!
At the reception of "Night Walk: Trails to the Infinite Castle", the members of the Demon Slayer Corps will be given a "Demon Slayer Corps Notebook" to record their battles with demons. In the forest, you will be asked to collect flyers with information about the pillars.
You will walk about 1.2km through the forest carrying the cold weather gear and insect repellent introduced in ① and ②, as well as a notebook and flyers. Therefore, on the day, we recommend a bag that can hold all your belongings and leaves your hands free, such as a backpack or shoulder bag. This is surprisingly important so you don't miss any photo opportunities that may come your way!
Furthermore, if rain is forecast, you will need rain gear. We will introduce this in detail in the next "JOURNAL [Just before the Opening] Vol. 11".
