Composer Koichi Sugiyama (real name: Koichi Sugiyama) passed away on September 2021, 9 due to septic shock. he was 30 years old.

 

Mr. Koichi Sugiyama has worked on the music for our company's game series "Dragon Quest" for many years and has contributed to the development of the series.The deceased composed all of the more than 500 songs in the "Dragon Quest" series by himself, and the composition of "Dragon Quest XII: The Chosen Flame of Destiny" was his last work.I would like to continue working with you in the future, so I am truly sorry, but the music of "Dragon Quest" will forever be in your memories, and will continue to live in the game world of "Dragon Quest" forever.
